It's like they're not even trying.

Ah, OK. It's a take off on the Lew/Lou Burdette 1960 error.

Whoopee.

You're right, they aren't trying.
Just make a good set of cards and stop dicking the consumers around

gah...

When I get my hands on some Heritage, if I pull a Thom, it's going into the paper shredder, and then back to Topps.

An error is an error, but intentionally misspelling the name of a guy that's been around for 20 years is bullshit.

Ben,

Not only a guy that has been around for 20 years, but a 300 game winner who was part of one of the most dominant pitching staffs in history.

Word verification: elinterd. At least topps got the terd part right.

What? No Dickie Thom Glavine?

Word verification: submusal. Yes, I certainly am under-amused by shenanigans.

Ok, I'll defend this one. It's a not entirely unclever reference to the origninal 1960 set, it's pretty clearly not part of the base set and it gives people something to chase. The Ramirez thing makes no sense to me, but this one would seem to be the sort of fun historical reference that longtime collectors might enjoy.

Is there anything on the back that alludes to the Lou/Lew Burdette error by any chance?
