See this?
This is a 33-year-old, rock-hard, slab of gum. (Some might call it Stale, but I'm above that.) This piece of gum was recently acquired by me, directly from Topps inside an unopened wax pack of 1978 Topps Baseball.
On Saturday afternoon, August 6th, on the floor of the National Sports Collectors Convention in Rosemont, Illinois, I will attempt to consume this third-of-a-century piece of gum.
No, I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. But my doctor said I wasn't getting enough BHT in my diet.

Good luck to you. The earliest I've consumed is from '81 Fleer. I walked right to the toilet to spit it out. I would suggest having a plastic bag with you.
I'd be more concerned with what my dentist said than my doctor. Good luck.
to show you how bad that gum is - even at 10 years old I wouldn't eat that stuff for fear of breaking a tooth. We threw it like ninja stars out in the back yard and tried to hit squirrels with it.
I've done this with a pack of '77 Topps, the results will not be good! I could tell you more about the experience, but it will be funner to watch you figure it out on your own.
I will be at the National and can't wait to see you barf all over the place. Please do it near the Beckett booth, I bet they'll even slap a 9.5 on it!
