Memo to Topps...

Relic: (noun) An antiquity that has survived from the distant past.

In other words, something none of these Topps cards are.

Why does Topps continues to call these manufactured relics, "Relics?"

I think they are going with the ever popular 3rd preference definition;

relic - a surviving trace of something.

To paraphrase George Carlin - There's a reason its third, its NOT first!

I don't necessarily mind manufactured relics if there's an autograph on it (a la the letter patches), but JUST a fake patch by itself? No thanks.
