Pissing on the grave of your meal ticket.

By now you've seen the video, on read about it on ACP, SCU, or FCB. (Warning, clicking on the links may cause projectile vomiting.)

The question I have is this: How does the Mantle family allow Topps to desecrate The Mick like this?

Look, we get it. He's been retired for 40 and dead for 15 years. The supply of Mickey Mantle autographs and (real) gamers is finite.

But c'mon.

"MICKEY M?" How do we even know this is from a real Mickey Mantle autograph? For all we know, that could be Mickey Mouse.

Absolutely disgraceful.

The question has to be asked: Is it real? There are no doubt thousands of forged Mantle photos on the market so the authenticity of even a full Mantle cut auto would have to be questioned. But here we get HALF a signature, arguably, the easiest part to fake.

Another question: What comes of the other half? Will there be another half Mantle cut signature somewhere?

"The thing is a piece......" of shit.
You have got to be kidding me.

What's next? Individual letters.

"This is an actual letter "y" in a Mickey Mantle auto. I would be super disappointed if I pulled that, but, right to ebay, so I could get money to buy a real Mantle auto.

@cardparadise OK, "Congratulations, you have an ugly card that's worth about 30% of a regular "full" Mantle cut". Is that better?

Much better, dickhead. I appreciate that. Now get the fuck off my channel.

Aaaaaaaaand that sums up the state of the Hobby right there.
"ZOMG I dun pullz a MOJO!" "What the hell are you talking about, that thing is horrible" "SHUT UP I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS AND IT'S AWESOME FOREVER"

I've seen supersickmojo cards of the 80's crash and burn.
I've seen supersickmojo cards of the '90s crash and burn.
I am not looking forward to seeing the supersickmojo cards of the past decade crash and burn but it's gonna happen. Stuff like this pretty much guarantees it.

Who in their right mind would be happy to pull that? Those comments make me scratch my head in wonder. Actually, they completely explain why the Hobby is like what it is right now. These people would rather have a half assed "mojo" hit than the original signed card. No wonder why Topps is mailing it in!
