I do not blame Harper or his parents for what they're doing - I'd have probably done the same thing 10 years ago if I were able to, but this is DEFINITELY not good for the game. Youth movements are always a good thing - to an extent. This will create thousands of high school drop outs who'll soon learn the difficulty of hitting a curveball that breaks out of the zone, before which the pitcher does NOT stand with a shit eating grin on his face.

Good luck to Harper, I hope this move works out for you, but if not, you'll have no sympathy from me. As for Beckett... funny that people are collecting two guys who aren't even in the MLBPA yet!!! I'd better start collecting my neighbor's tee-ball cards...; July 07, 2009 5:10 PM
