I remember those triangle Certified boxes and the fancy Aficionado boxes!
1995 Select changed my life!!! Thin, thin cards with imploding corners. I remember the artist proofs in there were limited to 250 copies (not numbered) and I recall someone in my town paying $800. for a Cal Ripken AP at a card show. The entire town watched in amazement and disbelief. I bought 5 boxes (about 60 bucks each) and pulled two artist proofs. Greg Maddux and Ray Durham. I think I got 10 bucks for the Maddux, still have the Durham. Certified was way, way outta my league, but i touched a pack once...
