1st Impressions: 2008 Topps Moments and Milestones

Is it just me, or has the Topps product development team been playing a little too much Heroin Hero lately?

(Sorry for the clip, but Randy Marsh chasing an video game dragon is funniest damn thing I've seen on South Park since ManBearPig.)

Anyway, ah yes! Baseball cards!

I have in my formerly nicotine-stained hands (*crumble crumble crumble*) the December 2007 issue of Beckett. I turn to page 5 and lo and behold, what do I see?

"MOMENTS & MILESTONES"
"THE SLEEPER HIT OF 2007 RETURNS!"

Yes, Topps is bringing back the "Sleeper (S)Hit of 2007": Moments & Milestones.

More details when they become available. (Like you're actually going to collect this crap.)

What, are you kidding? Of COURSE I'll be collecting 2008 Topps Moments and Milestones! Exactly like I collected 2007 Moments & Milestones... I'll wait until gamblers bust open a few cases at the local card shop and buy all the Chipper Jones cards they discard for about 5 bucks.

As much as I love to bust wax I do apply the method described above by dayf very often.

Its kind of like saving money on your next car by buying a low mileage used one instead.

It's better that the mirror addicts get there mirror fix in a controlled, isolated environment, such as M&M, rather than having their mirror shit leech valuable pack space from the rest of the peaceful, somewhat sane card collecting world.

But seriously Topps, if you want to print this shit, just promise me you'll kill all heretofore unannounced mirrors in the rest of your future sets. Please? Pretty please?

Well, I have to admit, I am not surprised. When eTopps did the A&G M&M cards, I figured there was a "regular" one soon to follow... I'll collect the Tribers (if there are any) 'cause that's what I do...

BTW, I forgot to mention that I like seing the "classic" logo back! :-)
