Well that didn't take long. Seven months after it became the first trading card to sell for over $2 million, "The Card" has changed hands again.
According to beckett.com the "McNall Gretzky" T-206 Honus Wagner was sold for $2.8 million. The transaction was brokered by SCP Auctions, and both buyer and seller remain anonymous.

You can't help but wonder if the seller had originally bought the card, knowing his buddy was going to buy it for that price... Nothing like using the old "Real Estate Flipping" trick with a baseball card spin, eh? Wonder if that would work for a 1981 Topps Ross Grimsley...
