There are a million-and-one other things I'd rather be doing than this blogpost. Hell, I don't even collect hockey cards.
The last time I seriously cared about hockey, Ron Hextall was still playing for the Flyers. But I would be shirking in my responsibility if I did not comment on this issue.
A 100-card boxed set where 95% of the boxes are purposefully short a card is, by definition, NOT a "set."
PERIOD.

That is all. You are now free to more about the cabin.
If the special 100 card is of Gordon Bombay or Dean Youngblood I will light my collection on fire...unless, of course, it's nuflex with a sticker auto on it...
ReplyDeleteI actually like what Panini has done with hockey this year, but I agree with you on this.
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed to read this as well, and kinda hope the mystery #100 card blows up in their face. Cause Lord knows if enough people buy it, then it will happen more and more. And not just in hockey, either...
ReplyDeleteI think Jefferson Burdick would see this as business as usual for card companies.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the problem here. It's a retired player who's never had a card before, not a potential ROY candidate that you have to chase for a PC. It's basically the 661 Strasburg.
